Marangu route is the oldest trekking route on Mount Kilimanjaro. Is a classic trek, as majority favor the Marangu path since it is considered to be the easiest path on the mountain as it is of gradual slope. Sometimes known as “Coca-Cola “route. It is the most routes which offer huts as a sleeping dormitory means of accommodations. This route spends 5minimum days though probability of summiting point under given time is pretty limited. Spending extra day for climber’s acclimatization over mountain trekking from this route is highly acclaimed.
Marangu is the mostly favored route when comes to rainy seasons, where the hut accommodations are highly preferred. However this route is of least scenic diversity of all the routes as the ascent and descent are done on the same track and it is the most crowded route for that reason.

ROUTE ITINERARY

Upon arrival, you will meet with our guide at the airport. Your guide will drive you towards the assigned hotel for overnight at Moshi town. You will have some little rest whereby after some little rest you will meet with your guide to brief you on your upcoming trek and hiking gears check in so as to be assured that all necessary equipment’s you have them while having more time to buy or rental whatever will be missing.

Get picked up from the Hotel and heading to Marangu Gate, have little stopover for climbers registration formalities. Soon after gate pass start climbing over the dense rainforest. If lucky you will experience a couple herds and troops of primate’s mostly white and black colobus monkey while heading to Mandara Hut. After a while stopover for a little rest guide will take you at Maundi Crater where you will speculate the beautiful Paranomic view watching Kenyan landscape.
These below are climbers reminders recommended in first night on this elevation
• Do not drink any alcohol and get little caffeine intake.
• Drinking more than 4 liters of water at a day retains climbers hydrated.
• We inspire climbers to takes Diamox in mornings earlier before hiking to control altitude sickness symptoms. Check doctor of Diamox prior sendoff for the trip.
• “The higher the discomfort the higher the acclimatization”. Though, as soon you feel sense of headaches and nausea and other symptoms, get notify your guide immediately.

Have transitory from Mandara Hut heading Horombo primes over the timberline and then enter the heath and moorland zone. Almost 4 – 6 hours in advanced, you will stopover at the Horombo Hut which ranges at an altitude of 3700m. Get a little rest and overnight stay while enjoying the beautiful Paranomic views towards Mawenzi, Kibo and the wide plain of the Maasai steppe from the hut.

Today serves as an acclimatization day. This should not be underestimated and greatly improves your chance of success in reaching the summit. After a relaxing breakfast, a 4 hour trek follows to the Zebra Rocks (4020m). The distinctive black and white stripes give the rock formation its name. On your return to Horombo Hut, a warm lunch will be waiting for you. You can relax in the afternoon and regain your strength for the hike the following day.

Getting from Horombo heading to Kibo is of long and tough route, Covers about 5 - 7 hours. Explore the built trail badges the “Last Water point” that trailed by the so-called “saddle. Have little look near vegetation fewer plateau intersections from a main summit of Kibo and Mawenzi. Stopover Kibo hut the today’s destination for a little rest and overnight stay while enjoying the star gazing and beautiful Paranomic view at the hut.

Get start last soar in a midnight around 01.00Am. Transitory over Hans Meyer Cave at 5220m, climb gradually with conviction of heading up. This trail is long and persistent. Get stopover at Gillman’s Point (5681m), the crater rim of Kilimanjaro to explore the lands and climbers body worm up from sun rays. After sometimes you will experience the body worm during and after an extra hike of 1 - 2 hours. Move to Uhuru Peak at 5895m. While getting back to Kibo Hut, stopover for a hot meal and little rest of 1 - 2 hours before moving down back to Horombo Hut.

Get badges over the moorland and moor zone towards Mandara Hut (2700m) where you will stopover for a little rest and hot lunch. Once more badge over the tropical rainforest for a 6 hours trekking and stopover at a Park gate (1860m) get your awarded climbing certificate and Let acknowledge your guides for a trekking adventure and drive back to your hotel for a shower little rest enjoy some drinks and celebrate your success in reaching the summit of the Kilimanjaro while waiting to flight back at home.
