Kilimanjaro Marangu trekking excursiontakes account ofworkingup to the first camp -Mandara hut (2720m) andback throughthe same track on the same day. Drive ranges almost44.5km from Moshi town of which will take you1 hourto time. As you stopoverMarangu gate you will have to do some registration formalitiesso as toget a valid permit to start trekking adventure. Marangu gate ranges 1879m above sea level besides the distance to Mandara hut extends to7.5km (15 km to and flow), of which will take you 3 to 4 hours for everypath.
Raining Forest
As you will transitfrom the Marangu gate to Mandara hut you will pass over the superbrain forest which is a dense forest, pure evergreen with diversity of species of plants. When lucky you might seecouple of different primates likeBlue Monkeys,black and white ColobusMonkeys.
Maundi Crater
It will take you20minutes to walk from Mandara towards Maundi Crater. Here you will experience awonderful view point of Kibo and Mawenziwhile exposing towards view of the Kenyan landscape, LakeChala and Jipe.Pressurewasn’t strong enough to force magma to move out of whichinstead of rise up it resulted to the formation of the crater.
NB: Porterswon’t be neededfor a day trip, only guides will accompany. Park formalitiesobligations mightbe at most two clients for each guide. The company will offerlunch and Water duringa trip.
